The silken windhound is a medium-sized sighthound with a moderately long silky coat. Silkens are friendly, emphathetic, trainable, and adaptable, suiting them to a wide variety of activities from canine sports, therapy work, service work, and companionship.

Once you’ve decided that silkens are for you, you’ll want to familiarize yourself with how to find a responsible breeder, including what health testing silken breeders should be doing.
